Why I Love Working at Fleet Feet Sports

Have you ever left Fleet Feet Sports after having yet another great experience and think “It must be great to work there!”?  This is what I have thought for years and now I can tell you from personal experience that, yes, it is great to work at Fleet Feet Sports! 

My journey to becoming a Fleet Feet Sports employee began many years ago when I first shopped at the Erie Boulevard store and went through the fit process for running. I was a bit apprehensive about going to the Fleet Feet Sports store because I didn't consider myself a runner.  My anxiety soon eased as the person I worked with was genuinely interested in my goals and spent a lot of time finding the perfect running shoes for me. This experience has stuck with me.   

Fast forward a few years and I found myself signing up for the Empire State Half Marathon. This, to me, was one of the craziest things I had ever done!  I knew that the only way I could do this was to sign up for a training program with Fleet Feet Sports.  Raise your hand if you succeeded at any road race better than you thought you could thanks to the amazing training programs and coaches at Fleet Feet Sports! My hand is raised with you!  I clearly remember coming into the store as a customer with questions about socks, Coach Mandy Howard was there and had me try on different socks, explained the differences and helped me choose the best socks for me.  I added this to my list of great experiences with Fleet Feet Sports.

Every time I went to a training run or went into the store I was helped, informed, taught and given great recommendations.  That is why I was excited when they were looking to hire last year! I wanted to learn more, share this knowledge and be a helpful resource as so many from Fleet Feet Sports have been to me over the years.  Have you ever thought you might want to be part of the Fleet Feet Sports team?
