Ninth annual Fleet Feet Six-Legged 5K raises $10,000 for local animal charities
Syracuse, N.Y. – The ninth annual Fleet Feet Sports Six-Legged 5K, co-sponsored by Saucony, was held Sunday, April 9 at Onondaga Lake Park. This year’s event was very successful with 300 participants and nearly $10,000 raised from registration and donations for Paws Across Oswego County and Helping Hounds Dog Rescue.
The race was an out and back, untimed course on the East Shore Trail at Onondaga Lake Park, starting and finishing at the Saw Mill Creek Pavilion. Runners and walkers were encouraged to participate with their four-legged friends.
Over the past nine years, the Six-Legged 5K has raised nearly $70,000 for local animal shelters.
Thanks to Andy's Produce for donating bananas and Panera Bread, 3409 Erie Blvd. E. Syracuse, for donating bagel sticks and cream cheese for the runners.
