Good Works Engine, formerly Mission: Feet First, (a 501(c)3) was founded in 2010 by Fleet Feet Sports owners, Emily & Keith Davis. Emily & Keith have a passion for their Christian faith and for helping others. In 2024 the name was changed to encompass the charity's main purpose: aid the underprivileged and inspire faith by highlighting global needs. Visit GoodWorksEngine.org.
As Emily and Keith's faith has grown, their eyes have been more opened to the needs of the world, and fundraising for the charity has grown- the desire to expand giving has increased. Emily and Keith invest in the following organizations and invite you to consider exploring these organizations. Through Good Works Engine, we to increase our support of these entities:
* Mission: Feet First: Proper fitting shoes for homeless adults, sheltered adults, and low-income students of Forsyth County, NC
* Transcend Talent Academy: Running academy in Cherangany, Kenya founded by Boston Marathon champion Wesley Korir. Provides a high-level high school education and training to the most talented student-athletes of Kenya. In 2022, Emily and Keith partnered with Wesley to build a school for the academy. Transcend now partners with Forsyth Country Day school; FCDS has provided scholarships for three Transcend students to complete their high school education with the hopes of securing a USA college scholarship. Emily is also the VP of Kenyan Kids Foundation USA, the governing and fundraising entity for Transcend.
* Forsyth Jail & Prison Ministry: Matthew 25:36, 'I was in prison and you came to visit me.' When we care for those who are suffering, including prisoners, we are directly serving Jesus. We work with the Forsyth Correctional Center to host an annual 5K and provide a shoe scholarship for recently released inmates.
