National Wildland Firefighter Day: Fireline 5K

At Fleet Feet Treasure Valley, we're incredibly thankful for our wildland firefighters' dedication and bravery. These amazing folks—whether federal, state, local, Tribal, military, rural, contract, or support personnel—work tirelessly to protect lives, property, infrastructure, and our precious natural and cultural resources. Their efforts are the backbone of the wildland fire community, saving countless lives and preserving our cherished lands. National Wildland Firefighter Day is our chance to honor these heroes and acknowledge the immense sacrifices they make.

We were thrilled to support the inaugural National Wildland Firefighter Day Fireline 5K on the Boise Greenbelt. This free event took participants on a scenic 5K journey from Ann Morrison Park to the Broadway Bridge, celebrating the incredible efforts of our wildland firefighters. We were proud to host the packet pickup at Fleet Feet Meridian and Fleet Feet Nampa, making sure everyone got their bibs, finishers medals, and swag bags. The highlight of the day? Seeing wildland firefighters running in full Nomex kit! It was a true community celebration with runners, joggers, and walkers of all ages showing up to support and appreciate the heroes who protect and serve our lands. Thank you to everyone who joined us—your support means the world!

See ya next year!
