Minimalist vs Maximalist Trends

We found this fun graph by searching "Hoka" and "Vibram Five Fingers" on Google Trends.

Minimalism hit a fever pitch in the early 2010's and Vibrams flew off the shelves in almost any running store that carried them.  This type of shoe still works great for some people but most have found that a much softer maximalist shoe, such as Hoka One One, have been a better solution.
