New Beginnings

From the beginning this Fleet Feet venture has been a family adventure. It has been a true dream, passion, and goal of ours. We always thought it would be amazing to add a second or third location and have the kids join us in operating them.

Before our life with Fleet Feet, Carolyn and I were Realtors for many years. One area that always intrigued us was Tradition in Port St Lucie. For those that do not know, Tradition is a “master planned community”. It offers a beautiful downtown area with many dinning and shopping venues, along with beautiful lakes, wide tree lined, meandering sidewalks to run, walk or just stroll.  Within that area are many private gated communities within walking distance of downtown Tradition. It’s a very active, vibrant community that has every amenity to offer.

Tradition started construction around 2006 and saw tremendous growth. But it was not without its real estate housing bubble troubles. It too took a big hit with housing prices taking a tumble. But within a few years, building slowly started coming back and it has been non- stop since. Despite new homes coming out of the ground each day, like much of the country, there is not enough inventory, housing prices are maxed out and it’s where a lot of families want to live.

Commercial real estate has also seen a tremendous boom. Many new shops, restaurants, pubs, and medical providers have entered the area as well. If you drive out to Tradition, it is construction as far as the eye can see.

We saw Tradition as a great opportunity for our next location. Carolyn and I along with our team, are so excited to announce the opening of Fleet Feet Tradition this fall/winter of 2021. We are also super excited to announce that our Daughter Megan, her husband Brian, and twins Veda and Jude are relocating from Chicago to help open and run Fleet Feet Tradition! This is an exciting chapter of our life, and we could not be more excited to share this adventure with Megan, Brian, and this amazing team.

Our plates are full, but we are enjoying the journey. We are looking forward to sharing this journey with all of you. As things move forward, we will keep you updated on our progress.
