Meet your coach, Melissa Johnson,
My name is Melissa Johnson. I was born and raised in Warrensburg, Missouri. But have lived in Huntsville/Madison since 1991.
I ran track in high school and was a part of the local community swim team during the summers.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Arts Management Technology and a Bachelor of Education in Physical Education K-12.
I previously taught in the Health and Physical Education Department at the University in Hunstville until 2015. I taught classes in aerobics, weight training, and butt’s and gutts.
After years off from running, I started back in the Fall of 2012 and haven’t looked back.
Fleet Feet has been a huge part of getting me moving.
I have competed in countless, 5k’s, 10k’s and half marathon’s.
In 2013, I did my first Half Ironman and several there after.
In 2015, I did my first Full Ironman in Arizona.
No Boundaries is a beginner 5K (3.1 miles) training program designed for people who are currently inactive or new to running and walking. It is a nationally organized and recognized program, offered at Fleet Feet stores across the country. While the focus is on beginners, all levels of walkers and runners are welcome. The program, like Fleet Feet, is all-inclusive. It knows no shape, size or speed. This 8 week training program includes weekly training sessions, informational newsletters, daily training schedule and educational clinics.
The Advanced 5K program is ideal for the runner that is comfortable with the 5K distance and wants better their 5K strength and speed. The program will include distance, speed, tempo and hill training. All paces welcome!

KICK-OFF: Monday, February 3rd at 6pm at Fleet Feet Madison
FIRST GROUP RUN: Monday, February 3rd at 6pm at Fleet Feet Madison
SCHEDULE: Mondays & Wednesdays 6pm - Fleet Feet Madison & surrounding areas
COST: $150 (excluding race fee)
Goal Race: Double Helix 5k, April 1, 2025
