Life can be tough! Many people struggle as they navigate depression, stress, and anxiety, and life in general.
So it’s pretty appropriate that for the month of May (Mental Health Awareness Month), ASICS is helping to bring awareness around the importance of mental health. After all, the name ASICS is an acronym for “Anima Sana in Corpore Sano,” which literally translates to “a sound mind in a sound body.” In 2020, ASICS elite athlete Johnny Gregorek set out in his favorite pair of blue jeans and set the World Record (4:06:25) for the fastest mile ran while wearing blue jeans, all in an effort to raise awareness for Mental Health.
Join us as we bring awareness to mental health at our Blue Jean Jog!
- Choose to run or walk a 1 or 3 mile route and grab a mimosa at the finish!
- Wear anything denim and receive an extra door prize ticket (shorts, jeans, jacket, vest, etc). Grand Prize for whoever wears the MOST denim and runs in it!
- Once you're done with your casual run join the mile race around the parking lot! (What a great way to really ensure chafing on your things in those jean shorts!). Let's set the record for the CLEMMONS BLUE JEAN MILE. The winner's picture will be showcased at the Clemmons store.
Be sure to RSVP! Families welcome, all paces! No dogs please.
