In partnership with Pig Works and The Flying Pig Marathon we are honored to present the 2025 edition of the Official Flying Pig Training Progam. Below you will find the complete details of the 17-week progam. The training schedule begins in early January and is broken into four phases throughout the session; each with a very specific goal & focus to keep all participants advancing and gaining fitness at a safe and proven cadence.
Progressive by nature, each week of training will build on the previous one slowly, consistently and safely. So no matter which Flying Pig event you intend to complete, we promise to get you ready, keep you safe and make it fun the entire time.

We offer four weekly training locations. Participants are welcome to move between locations but establishing a "home" location is encouraged.

Pre-Training Info Sessions
Interested in training with us but have questions? Join us at one of our two Pre-Training Info Session Open Houses to meet the Training Program Manager, Coaches and Fleet Feet Team. Get your questions answered and gain a full understanding of the program before signing up.

Training Kick-Off Open House
Join us at the Blue Ash Rec Center on Thursday, January 2nd from 6:30pm - 8:00pm to meet the Training Program Coaches, sponsors, pick up SWAG and get all questions answered.
Kick Off Workouts
- First Tuesday, January 7th at Fifty West & Blue Ash
- First Wednesday, January 8th at Oakley & Newport
5K Time Trial
Need help deciding at what pace you need to train? Join us at Summit Park near the Dog Park at 8AM on Saturday, January 4th to complete a 3.1 mile run at your best effort to help determine your ideal training pace. Based on your finish time we will calculate a pace that should be ideal for your longer training runs throughout training.
Of course you're welcome to adjust pace groups as needed but this exercise will give you and us a solid understanding of your current fitness.
Sunday Morning Bonus Run
For over twenty years our Fleet Feet Sunday Runners Group has met from various local coffee shops around Cincy. While not formally part of the training program it's a great way to get in extra miles, meet new people and drink great coffee! More Details Here

Pace Group Leaders
Our Pace Group Leaders are the heart of our program. This group of experienced, knowlegable, and generous folks dedicate their time and energy every week to helping others reach new heights and achieve their goals.
They guide their small groups on every run at the right speed and ensure a safe return back to the store every time. And in case of an emergency they are prepared with the knowledge and tools to make the right decisions for everyone's safety.

Race Day Experience
