Where to Run in Rocklin
Ranked as a Top 100 place to live, Rocklin is an amazing small community with big city ammenities. With paved trails, generous bike lanes and parks around every corner, it doesn't take one long to realize Rocklin is a runners town. With hills near Rocklin High and flat ground to the west, there's something for everyone and endless loops or out and backs. We have many staff members living in rocklin, here are a few of their favorite running routes and trails:
Kathy Lund Park Trail
- Location : Stanford Ranch, Rocklin
- Length : 6 miles
- Trail End Points : The Human Bean coffee shop (corner on Sunset Blvd and Pebble Creek Dr)
- Trail Surface : Mostly paved
This trail begins at Kathy Lund Park and offers plenty of parking, a playground, softball fields, and drinking fountains. While there is paved sidewalk leading from the park to the trail head, we think it can be more fun to take the unpaved trail through the park before hopping on the paved bike path. Crosswalks at traffic signals makes it easy and safe to make the two street crossings along the trail. This paved trail passes through three more community parks, which also has amenities like parking, picnic benches, and basketball courts. With only one 150-foot climb, this trail is relatively flat and suitable for all different ages and abilities.
