Welcome to Fleet Feet Folsom & Roseville’s Shamrock’n Half Marathon Training presented by Brooks! This program is designed to help both new and experienced walkers and runners reach their half marathon goals in a positive and fun group environment.
This program will culminate in the Shamrock’n Half Marathon on March 16th!
Whether you’re running your first half marathon or chasing a personal best, you won’t need luck with our Shamrock’n training plan. Train with us for experienced coaches, goal-based training plans, and a premium race day experience. Shamrock’n training is all about supporting each other while working toward your goals.
Kickoff Informational Meeting & Ice Breaker Run
Not sure if this program is for you? All are welcome to meet the coaches on Saturday, January 4, at 7:30am at Fleet Feet Folsom for our Kickoff Meeting & Ice Breaker Run.
Weekly Workouts
- January 8th to March 12
- Wednesdays at 6:00pm at various locations
- Saturdays at 7:30am at various locations
- Workouts will be in the Folsom and surrounding area
Goal Race
- We will prepare you for the Shamrock’n Half Marathon on Sunday, March 16, 2025. Race registration is not included.
- Your registration includes a Shamrock’n Training Program t-shirt and a VIP Race Day experience.
Training Schedule
The training is designed to increase week to week, so you build slowly, steadily, and consistently toward your goals.
- Wednesday workouts consist of intensity such as intervals, hills, and tempo to improve your fitness.
- Saturday workouts will build endurance towards the goal race distance.
- Your training schedule will include workouts for you to do on your own throughout the week, which will help you see more progress.
- If you cannot make a workout, you will have the schedule to continue to follow the plan.
Education
Coaches and special guests will educate you in person and in weekly emails on topics such as warm ups, mobility, nutrition/hydration, injury prevention, how to prepare for race day, and more. They are also a resource and support for you along the way.
Group Training Atmosphere
Enjoy the safety, accountability, information, and motivation that come from a coached group workout environment. We also have a private Strava group for you to share, communicate, and get motivation from your fellow training members.
Brooks Canopy Jacket Included
New this year! The Brooks Canopy Jacket (more info here: Women’s / Men’s) will be included with your registration! You’ll be able to indicate your sizing during the registration process.

Coaches
- Del Marks
- Garrison Weekes has been with Fleet Feet as a participant or coach for nearly five years. He successfully completed his first half marathon and full marathon through the Folsom/Roseville training programs, as well as multiple, trail, road and Spartan races. Garrison loves that the programs are family-friendly, and easy to follow. Coach Garrison’s philosophy is that “If you show up, and actively participate you’re going to have a great time with us.
Minimum Activity Level
Ability to walk or run 30-45 minutes, 3 times a week at the start of training.
